Education Relief

Education is the key to the prosperity of a nation, as they say. Hence, the foundation takes it upon itself to give scholarship to indigent students with exceptional academic excellence in public secondary schools and universities, respectively. The scholarships for the secondary school students entail payment of the student’s annual tuition fee, which comprises uniform fees, PTA levies and other administrative fees as may be. To Foster continues learning in our educational system, Near foundation goes a long way into renovating dilapidated classroom buildings in government owned secondary schools within the country to augment and assist in keep up the standard in our school environments. The foundation has renovated a block of classrooms in two different schools in Kano state. The schools where the renovation was done are in Kaura and Kawaji both in Kano State. Hunger Relief

Each year during Ramadan, the foundation distributes over 26,000 hunger relief packages in Nigeria. The relief packages contained 2kg rice, 2kg beans, 1kg salt, 1kg semovita, 1kg wheat flour, 4 packs of macaroni and 2 packs of spaghetti. The packages are distributed in over 24 states in Nigeria.
In every year"s Eid El-Kabir Feast of Sacrifice, Near foundation sacrifices over 1200 cows and distributed the pieces of 4kg meat packages to the less privileged people during this Eid celebration. The meat packages are distributed in more than 28 states in Nigeria.

Near Foundation in collaboration with Ufuk Dialogue takes advantage of charismas and Easter festivities to extend its humanitarian activities by providing food packages to the less-privileged Christian communities in Nigeria.
Apart from the Ramadan relief packages, the foundation has distributed over 7500 provision packages to the less fortunate families to alleviate hunger and lessen the level of hardship in our communities. In addition, Near foundation sacrifices about 50 rams every month and distribute the meat as Sadaka (charity) in different states in Nigeria.

Water Relief

Water is life, as such, everyone has a right to water, sanitation, safe and clean community because clean water plus good hygiene practices are essential for the survival and development of people especially now more than ever with the emergence of new social protocols which dictates that keeping good hygiene and hands washing is of paramount importance to curb the spread of Covid-19. In that light, the foundation has drilled 71 boreholes in government public schools in Nigeria. Health Relief

Cataract

The foundation does free cataract surgeries to the less privileged people in the rural and suburban communities, the surgery is done in the Nizamiye hospital in Abuja. So far over 110 cataract surgeries have been successfully done. 

Health Screening

Near foundation organizes free health care screening programs where we diagnose and treat patients together with our volunteer doctors (mostly graduate from the Tulip colleges) and drugs donated to us from Nizamiye hospital here in Nigeria.

Medical Donation

To complement the healthcare delivery ecosystem in Nigeria, the foundation raise money to procure medical supplies such as drugs and surgical equipment to be donated to public schools and rural community’s clinics and dispensaries.

Emergency Surgery

The foundation performs surgeries to patients who needs it urgently in a situation of life or death and where the patience is not able to afford the said surgeries.
