The Goat Empowerment Support Program is designed to strengthen the livelihoods of vulnerable families by providing goats as productive assets. Rather than offering short-term relief, this initiative helps beneficiaries generate sustainable income through livestock rearing, breeding, and the sale of offspring or dairy products where applicable.
Priority is given to widows, low-income households, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of the community. Alongside the livestock, beneficiaries receive basic guidance on animal care and management to improve the success and sustainability of the project.
Through this initiative, NEAR Foundation promotes economic independence, food security, and long-term resilience among disadvantaged communities.
The Bicycle Support Project is an education-focused initiative that provides bicycles to students who travel long distances to and from school. Many children in underserved communities face transportation challenges that affect their attendance, punctuality, and overall academic performance.
By providing bicycles, NEAR Foundation helps students reach school safely and on time, reducing the physical burden of long daily commutes. This simple intervention encourages regular school attendance, minimizes absenteeism, and allows students to dedicate more time and energy to their education.
The project primarily targets students from low-income and vulnerable families, helping remove transportation barriers that can limit access to quality education. Through this initiative, NEAR Foundation is committed to creating equal educational opportunities and empowering young people to achieve their full potential.
